DIY: Snow Globe

DSC_0339

Welcome again to my blog! As you may know, I’m doing #DIYDecember and I’m showing you my ideas on how to decorate your house for Christmas for less. Today we are doing a snow globe! There are tons and tones of them in the shops but why not make your own?

What you will need:

  • a mason jar
  • fake snow/glitter
  • an ornament
  • a ribbon and/or some colourful tape to decorate the lid11
  • a strong glue

The first thing you should do is put glue on the bottom of your object..

Put it at the centre of the jar’s lid and wait for it to set for about 15-20 minutes.DSC_0296

DSC_0300WhileΒ you are waiting you can add water into your jar but do not fill the whole of it, since when you put your ornament, it will probably run over. Then add your fake snow or glitter.

DSC_0326This is the complete snow globe. As you can see, I added a red ribbon at the bottom as well as some festive tape around the lid. I suppose it looks absolutely adorable! Good luck! <3
