DIY: How to make your own baulbe necklace

DSC_0149Good evening, people! Today’s article is actually a lil’ surprise for you as I’ve told you earlier that I’m only doing DIYs in December. My whole idea of this ‘crafty’ experience is to help you make amazing things with your own hands for much cheaper than in the stores.
This particular can be regarded as a hodiday-related DIY as well since you can wear it during a dinner party, some kind of event or even when you’re Christmas shopping rocking your necklace and looking absolutely chic! It’s very easy – you just need the nerves and time to make it :)

What you will need:

  • Plastic beads (could be any type, size & color you want – I obviously chose pearls since I love them)
  • Headpins
  • Jump rings
  • A chain or some kind of ribbon, which will suit your necklace
  • Toggles or lobster claws
  1. catsThe first thing you should do is get a bead and a headpin.
  2. Loop the headpin through the bead.
  3. Chop the excess part of the metal.
  4. Using a round nose plier, create a loop.
  5. You now have a charm that can be used as an earing or just one little bead around your neck.

But if you want to continue in order to make your bauble necklace, you have to make a big number of these. Once you get this, everything becomes much easier and faster.

  1. After you’ve made the desired quantity of charms, take a jump ring, open it with the pliers and put 3 of the beads.
  2. For the second jump ring – add 2 beads.
  3. Add the second jump ring to the first one and then close both rings. You can see how your bauble is forming!

Continue adding 3 beads to a jump ring & then 2 to another and keep varying that until you get to your desired length. You can create a whole necklace out of bauble, but if you want the bauble part to be just in the front, stop when it’s fine for you depending on how you’d like it to look.

And you now have a pretty necklace that will dazzle everyone with its chicness! Good job!

I really hope you enjoyed my first DIY. Make sure you come back soon for more articles!

A Stroll in the garden

As winter is fastly approaching, I try to seize the opportunity every time the sun is not covered up by clouds. As I mentioned to you in one of my previous posts, I visited my best friend’s for a few days in Sofia. We devoted our time in the garden enjoying the view and talking about different topics from the most stupid to the most thoughtful and philosophical.

I’m wearing a Stradivarius crop-sweater, Zara jeggings, grey leather Converse and my leather Esprit bag. Hope you enjoy the photographs.

I’m reminding you again that December is in a week and a half away, which means that my DIY projects will be here very soon!

Sunday Morning

DSC_0086

Happy Sunday morning, people! I’m so glad to write this post today when I can simply talk to you guys about some upcoming projects for my blog that can excite both me and you!

November’s been going pretty smoothly for its fisrt half, although it’s been getting colder and rain has been hanging around all over Europe. Nevertheless, in order to get you excited for the holiday season and help you feel cozy and relaxed, I’ve come up with some ideas. :)

But before we head to the Christmas spirit, expect some autumn photoshoots with new outfits – hope I inspire you to be more creative with your wardrobe and be confident about yourself.

As to the upcoming month (December apparently), one of my favorite things to do is DIY stuff (yes, I’m not joking, you’ll see what I mean in a few weeks). You think of the rules, you think of the materials that you’ll be using and you achieve wonderful results! There will be DIY project ideas twice a week during December – how to decorate your own mugs, how to make adorable Christmas cards, festive tree decorations and other home decorations, beautiful candles, and so much more! There will also be some easy recipes for you to try and share with friends and family!

Hope I have got you at least a little bit excited and enthustiastic for this year’s holidays! Let’s see how far owr creativity and joy can get! See you very soon! <3

Autumn in the City

DSC_0123This weekend I had the wonderful opportunity to travel from my hometown to the capital of Bulgaria, Sofia, and stay at my best friend’s house for a few days. It’s only 130 km away, but much more different than Plovdiv. So many things to see, that you don’t know what to beging with.

During one of the days we went out for a stroll in the center of Sofia and decided to buy some warm coffee to help us against the crispy weather. Of course, as it is fall time, we couldn’t resist and bought the Pumpkin Spice Latté, which is undeniably one of my favorite fall beverages ever! It is so smooth, delicious and sweet… Starbucks says it all: “Cinnamon, nutmeg, clove? Check. Creamy milk for a delicious taste and texture? Check. Real pumpkin pie spices atop whipped cream? Check. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte is back– with all the amazing ingredients that make it a beloved fall favorite. Stop on by and celebrate the season.”  It is one of a million other types of caffeine beverages that show how many uses coffee can have. Also, for those of you who are interested in coffee not only because of its taste, here are 15 Things Worth Knowing About Coffee.

Today you see me wearing a grey coat from H&M, blue knit sweater from Zara, jeans from H&M, TSB bag and dark red leather boots from Gotti. Stay tuned for more photographs very soon!
